Chadwick Downs Streaking Campbell Hall
The Campbell Hall boys’ tennis team lost, 10-8, to Chadwick in a nonleague match Tuesday at Campbell Hall, ending a 26-match regular season win streak that dates back to last season.
The Vikings (9-1) won 20 consecutive matches last season, 17 in the regular season, before falling to San Marino in the Southern Section Division IV final. This year, with all starters returning, they expected to go undefeated.
Campbell Hall sophomore Adam Zunder won two of three sets at No. 1 singles.
In other tennis matches:
St. Bonaventure 14, Oak Park 4--Mike Marquez and Davey Jones remained undefeated for the season with sweeps at No. 1 and No. 2 singles for the Seraphs (7-0, 2-0) in a Tri-Valley League victory at Oak Park.
BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL
Flintridge Prep d. St. Genevieve, 15-11, 15-8, 15-6--Craig Revell had 20 kills and Chaz Terhune added 11 for the Rebels (7-2, 5-1) in a Santa Fe League victory at Flintridge Prep.
BOYS’ TRACK
Notre Dame 114, Crespi 13--Justin Fargas clocked 10.5 seconds for 100 meters and 21.6 in the 200, and ran legs on both winning relay teams for host Notre Dame (5-0, 4-0) in a Mission league meet.
The Knights’ 400 relay team crossed the tape in 42.6, while the 1,600 relay team cruised home in 3:34.0.
GIRLS TRACK
Harvard-Westlake 95, Chaminade 25--Natalie Ostroff won three events for host Harvard-Westlake (5-0, 3-0) in a Mission League dual meet, breaking one school record and tying a second.
Ostroff bounded a school-record 34 feet six inches in the triple jump, and leaped 5-4 in the high jump to tie her own school record.
BOYS’ GOLF
Notre Dame 193, Santa Monica 233--Kevin Coghlan shot a par-35 to earn medalist honors for Notre Dame (9-3) in a nonleague match at Lakeside Country Club.
