Oakley Loses Glasses Case

FOOTHILL RANCH — A French appeals court has ruled that Bausch & Lomb Inc. didn’t infringe on a design patent held by Oakley Inc., allowing the New York eye care company to resume selling its Ray-Ban Orbs Ellipse sunglasses in France, Bausch & Lomb said Tuesday.
The appellate court reversed a lower court ruling last October that initially found the Ray-Ban Orbs Ellipse sunglasses infringed on Oakley’s e-wire design.
