Arco, BG Join Forces on Indonesia Project
BG and Atlantic Richfield said they will collaborate in their biggest project outside their home markets to supply gas to the Tangguh liquefied natural gas project in Indonesia. The two global oil and gas producers will combine reserves from the Wiriagar, Berau and Muturi areas to supply the Tangguh project in Irian Jaya in eastern Indonesia. Operational responsibilities for the regional fields falls to Los Angeles-based Arco. The announcement follows a successful gas find from exploration well Vorwata 4, drilled on acreage located between the Arco-operated Berau block and the British Gas-operated Muturi block.
