American League President Gene Budig said the Royals have made their decision on whether to switch leagues, and most baseball executives said Kansas City would remain in the AL.

If that’s the case, the Milwaukee Brewers would wind up switching to the NL next season.

However, baseball’s acting commissioner and Brewer owner Bud Selig differed with Budig. “At this point in time I’m not certain what their intentions are,” Selig said. “We have to get back on that sometime next week.”
