No. 1 Santa Margarita 3, Trabuco Hills 0--Bryon Foss had seven saves and Chris Porcelli had four saves in a combined shutout for Santa Margarita in the third-place game. Ryan Coiner scored two goals for the Eagles (8-1-3).
Ryan Hanson had 18 saves for host Trabuco Hills (5-5-1).
In the Marina boys’ tournament:
Los Angeles Loyola 2, San Clemente 0--Loyola scored both its goals in the first half to win the championship. Shaun Mutch scored off a direct kick in the 15th minute and Trevor Mutch knocked in a rebound in the 21st minute for the Lions (13-1).
Fountain Valley 7, Sierra Vista (Ariz.) 0--Nick Tolman scored three goals and had an assist, leading Fountain Valley to a third-place finish.
In the Excalibur girls’ tournament:
No. 4 Edison 0, No. 1 Capistrano Valley 0 (Edison advances on penalty kicks, 2-1)--Edison handed Capistrano Valley its first loss of the season, upsetting the top-ranked Cougars in the quarterfinals. Edison will face Marina in today’s semifinal at 9:30 a.m.
Marina 0, No. 3 Esperanza 0 (Marina advances on penalty kicks, 5-4)--In another upset, Marina converted all five penalty kicks to topple Esperanza and advance to today’s semifinal.
In the Ocean View tournament:
Mater Dei 0, Long Beach Poly 0 (Mater Dei wins on penalty kicks, 4-3)--Tracey Winzen scored the winning penalty kick as Mater Dei (9-0-1) won their third consecutive Ocean View tournament championship. Goalkeeper Rachael Slocum-Johnson has five shutouts this season.
