Fullerton Falls Flat in Chicago
Cal State Fullerton became basketball road kill again Tuesday night.
This time it was Loyola of Chicago that ran down the Titans, 73-59, in front of 3,253 in Gentile Center in Chicago, handing Fullerton its fifth loss without a victory away from home this season.
Last season in Titan Gym, Fullerton defeated the Ramblers (8-6) by 21 points. Tuesday, the Titans (5-5) shot only 36.1% from the field, and tied their season low for points.
Loyola Marymount 82, So. Utah 72--Tim Kennedy hit a pair of 3-point baskets with five minutes remaining to break a tie and the host Lions (3-8) went on to victory.
Long Beach State 72, Lehigh 54--Andrew Betts had 21 points and 11 rebounds to help the 49ers (5-6) to a victory at Long Beach.
