Standout performances in high school track and field

The Taft High girls’ 400-meter relay team of juniors Eboni Grayson and Frances Santin and freshmen Jayda Bailey and Deneeka Torrey moved to third on the all-time region list Thursday when they clocked 46.67 to win the City Section championship at Birmingham High. Grayson also moved to ninth on the all-time region list after winning the girls’ 100 and 200 meters Thursday.
