Technology the Focus of Library Open House
As part of its observance of National Library Week, the Newport Beach Public Library will sponsor an open house April 16 that will focus on technology.
Librarians will give demonstrations at Internet terminals from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. to show visitors how to gain access to the World Wide Web. Staff members also will be available to show patrons how to navigate networks and other online resources.
Guests will be able to visit the library’s literacy program office and browse in the Friends of the Library bookstore.
At 7 p.m. in the Friends’ Meeting Room, sports agent Leigh Steinberg will speak on professional sports.
