Board AID 4, a two-day snowboarding and skateboarding festival that raises money for AIDS education and prevention in teens, begins today at Bear Mountain in Big Bear.

The event, which runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and Saturday, will feature demonstrations and contests by professional snow- and skateboarders as well as performances by live bands.

Tickets for Board AID 4 may be purchased at Bear Mountain or through Ticketmaster. Cost is $40 for adults, $34 for those aged 13 to 22, $5 for children 7 to 12 and $25 for seniors.
