Ceballos Giddy About Return

Cedric Ceballos wore a small bandage above his right eye after getting cut during a pickup basketball game Wednesday.

“I went to watch my nephew practice and heard the smell of hardwood and rubber,” Ceballos said. “I started with some shooting games to one on one to band-aids.”

Ceballos, traded from the Lakers to the Suns on Jan. 10, was happy to return to Los Angeles.

“It was funny going through the same ritual I did when I used to play for Lakers,” he said. “I slept in my own bed and drove down for an early workout.”

Ceballos, who attended Wednesday’s Laker game, said he didn’t talk to any of the Lakers, adding, “I thought about going down there, but [Laker Coach Del Harris] might have put me in there.”
