Mater Dei 2, Buena 1--Bret Corbin scored on a set play with nine minutes left to lift the top-seeded Monarchs (23-1-3) in a Division II semifinal at Mater Dei.
J.J. Delgado scored for Buena (17-4-5) to tie the match with 20 minutes to play.
El Camino Real 3, Los Angeles 2--Jason Leonard scored on his own rebound with 15 minutes to play, sending the 17th-seeded Conquistadores (20-3-6) past the fourth-seeded Romans (15-3-2) in a City Section semifinal at Los Angeles High.
El Camino Real (20-3-6) plays defending champion Belmont, a 1-0 victor over Garfield, in the City title match at 2 p.m. Saturday at East Los Angeles College.
It was the 16th goal of the season for Leonard. El Camino Real also got goals from Gerardo Herrera, his 17th, and Lisandro Sierna and never trailed.
GIRLS
Hart 1, Claremont 0--Laura Qualls scored on a 25-yard direct kick over a wall of defenders with 10 minutes to play, giving the Indians a Division I semifinal victory over the Wolfpack (22-5-2) at Hart.
Qualls, a midfielder, has 29 goals for Hart (24-1-2).
The Indians play Los Alamitos in the title match.
El Modena 2, Harvard-Westlake 1--Kim Needham headed in a corner kick eight minutes into overtime and the fourth-seeded Vanguards upset the top-seeded Wolverines in a Division III semifinal at El Modena.
Harvard-Westlake (17-5-1) surrendered a goal on a penalty kick to El Modena (19-7-2) in the first 15 minutes before Lizzie Fisher scored on a rebound to tie the score midway through the second half.
Chaminade 1, Bonita 0--Lia Cummins scored for the Eagles in the 28th minute after a corner kick by Amy Watts in a Division III semifinal at Bonita.
Chaminade (23-3-3), winless in three playoff matches prior to this season, plays defending Division II champion El Modena in the division final.
Jen Taylor held Kendra Paine of Bonita (23-4), who scored 48 goals this season, to one shot.
Chaminade’s Kim Nelli made four saves and posted her 18th shutout.
Ontario Christian 1, St. Bonaventure 0--Gabriella Brown scored with 25 minutes left for the top-seeded Knights (26-2) and the Seraphs (23-4-1) went down to a Division IV semifinal defeat at Ontario Christian.
Cleveland 3, Birmingham 1--Brynne Blumstein scored from 18 yards in the 60th minute to break a 1-1 tie and the Cavaliers held on in a City Section 3-A Division semifinal at Birmingham.
The Cavaliers will play Hamilton in the division final at 10 a.m. Saturday at East Los Angeles College.
