Cal Poly San Luis Obispo 84, UC Irvine 78--Damien Levesque scored a career-high 29 points to lead the visiting Mustangs at the Bren Center, in what was likely the last game for Irvine Coach Rod Baker.
Baker, in his sixth season, is in the last year of his contract.
The Anteaters (1-25, 1-15) trailed, 75-62, with eight minutes left but closed to within four with three minutes left.
Mike Wozniak’s layup and two free throws by Mitch Ohnstad clinched the victory for the Mustangs (14-16, 6-10).
