Belfour’s Return to Sharks at Hand

San Jose goalie Ed Belfour, out since spraining a ligament in his right knee in a game Feb. 1, is expected to return to the Sharks next week but might be back as early as today. . . . Washington is awaiting results of a test on defenseman Sergei Gonchar, who injured his left knee in Wednesday’s 3-1 victory over Toronto.
