Karpov Reassigned to the Ice Dogs

Right wing Valeri Karpov has been reassigned to the Long Beach Ice Dogs after playing the past month with minor league affiliate Baltimore.

Karpov was sent to the minors in December and has played well there, scoring four goals and 12 points in 10 games for Baltimore, an American Hockey League team.

Karpov had been a regular scratch in Anaheim, appearing in nine games and scoring one goal before being sent down.

Coach Ron Wilson gave the team a day off Monday in the resort town of Banff in the Canadian Rockies . . . Shawn Antoski is doubtful for Wednesday’s game against the Flames. His hip injury and the possibility of surgery will be assessed during a doctors’ conference after the team returns to Anaheim.
