Earthquake Shakes People in 3 States
A moderate earthquake in northeast Arkansas shook people in three states. Authorities reported no injuries and no damages immediately following the estimated 4.3 magnitude tremor. The earthquake awoke people in Arkansas, Missouri and Tennessee, reportedly shaking buildings and furniture. A scientist for the U.S. Geological Survey’s National Earthquake Information Center said the temblor struck at 11:41 p.m. with an apparent epicenter at Blytheville. People reported feeling the quake as far away as Cape Girardeau, Mo., about 100 miles north of Blytheville.
