Watercolor Exhibit Opening Next Week
More than 100 watercolor paintings will be on display beginning next week during the 28th annual Watercolor West Juried Exhibition at the City of Brea Gallery.
Katherine Chang Liu, a nationally recognized watercolor painter, was the juror for the exhibit. She will present a series of seminars on Saturdays beginning Nov. 9.
Other featured lecturers will be artists William McAllister, Marilyn Simandle, Ernest J. Velardi and John E. Koser.
The seminars are $20 each or $80 for the series, with discounts available for Brea residents.
A free opening reception for the exhibit, which runs through Dec. 20, will be from 5 to 7 tonight.
The gallery is at Brea Civic and Cultural Center, 1 Civic Center Circle. Hours are Wednesdays through Sundays from noon to 5 p.m.; and Thursdays and Fridays from noon to 8 p.m. Regular admission is $1.
