Final Hospital Task Force Meeting Reset
The final meeting of the task force formed by Gov. Pete Wilson to study future options for Camarillo State Hospital has been postponed from today until Friday, state officials said Wednesday.
Neither state Sen. Cathie Wright (R-Simi Valley) nor Joanne Kozberg, secretary of the State and Consumer Services Agency, was able to attend the meeting, originally scheduled this afternoon at the hospital.
The final meeting will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the staff conference room at Camarillo State Hospital.
A majority of the 20 members of the panel have already voted to support closing the hospital and converting it into the 23rd Cal State campus.
University supporters hope to transfer the Cal State Northridge satellite campus in Ventura to the hospital by the fall of 1998.
Members of the public are invited to attend Friday’s meeting.
