Koll Real Estate Buys Personnel Consulting Company
NEWPORT BEACH — In a move designed to strengthen its ability to lure tenants to its properties, Koll Real Estate Services Inc. on Wednesday said it has acquired an Irvine personnel consulting firm.
Koll paid a reported $1.3 million for privately owned Total Employee Relations Services Inc., which trains employees and handles benefits for companies that don’t want to have such employees on their own payrolls.
Koll also is creating a division to market temporary staffing, employee training, human resources and medical insurance services.
“This is a value-added program for tenants of our buildings” as well as other clients, said Lyndia Lane, Koll Real Estate Services executive vice president for administration. A personnel specialist, Lane has been appointed chief executive of the property management company’s new Strategic HR Services unit.
