Forums on Economic Trends Planned
A public forum tonight in Downey on how economic trends affect individuals will kick off the Common Ground series, sponsored by the Metropolitan Cooperative Library System, the Los Angeles County Public Library and the Los Angeles Times.
“Pocketbook Pressures: Who Benefits From Economic Growth?” will be discussed at the Downey library from 7 to 9 p.m.
Eight other area libraries will hold meetings on the same topic throughout September, with the goal of promoting nonpartisan community discussions.
A trained neutral facilitator will lead each meeting.
For more information on tonight’s session, call the Downey library at (310) 904-7363.
