Spray-Paint Bill

It was exciting to read that someone has come up with a way to virtually eliminate graffiti in our state (banning the use of aerosol for spray-paint cans and requiring connection of the cans to a fixed power source). But it was disgusting to read that the paint industry opposes the bill (April 22).

This is a flagrant example of one of the significant problems in our society. Everyone likes progress as long as it doesn’t hurt them personally. Where is the spirit of sacrifice for the public good?
