Public Hearings Set on City Permit Requests
A city zoning official will hold public hearings today regarding several applications for city permits, including a proposal to build a senior citizens’ housing development in Pacoima, the Los Angeles office of zoning administration has announced.
The applications include requests for:
* A conditional-use permit to build a 75-unit senior-citizens’ housing development at 12793 Mercer St. in Pacoima. The project would add 37 units more than the 38 permitted by the city’s municipal code. The hearing will be at 9 a.m. Monday.
* A conditional-use permit to construct a 61-room, 150-bed convalescent hospital at 7447 Sepulveda Blvd. in North Hills. A vacant hospital on the same site is slated for demolition. The hearing will be at 2 p.m. Monday.
* A conditional-use permit to allow the continued use, maintenance and expansion of Mancini’s, a Canoga Park restaurant and nightclub at 20923 Roscoe Blvd.
The permit would allow the restaurant to increase its capacity from 190 to 325 diners and dancers and to extend its closing time from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. The hearing will be at 2:30 p.m. today.
All hearings will take place at the Sherman Oaks Woman’s Club, 4808 Kester Ave.
