County Records Its 17th Bank Robbery
An man in a red baseball cap robbed a Thousand Oaks bank Saturday of an undisclosed amount of money, Ventura County sheriff’s officials said. It was the 17th bank robbery in the county this year.
The man, described as white with brown hair and brown eyes, walked into the Wells Fargo branch at 2663 Townsgate Road about 11:30 a.m. Claiming he had a gun but never displaying it, the man passed a teller a note demanding money, officials said. The robber was wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans. He was described as about 6 feet tall and 190 pounds.
