Online Line Gripes Catch the Mouse’s Ear
Sleeping Beauty probably needed the rest after standing in lines all day at Disneyland. With the peak summer months coming and adult admission now at $34, Disney chat sites on the Internet have been buzzing with gripes about the long waits.
Disneyland spokesman Tom Brocato said those concerns have reached the Mouse’s ears. The park’s operations group is working on ways to speed the lines at the most popular attractions.
“We’re expecting a very busy summer,” Brocato said. “We’re trying to increase the line speed to improve the guest experience.”
Translation: Disney wants to keep frustrated vacationers from going postal in the Indiana Jones line.
Some queues will be rejiggered and more staff added at passenger loading and unloading points to speed the flow. The park may add more entertainment in the queues to keep visitors’ minds off the aging process. Disneyland also is contemplating running the parades more often to draw people to the curb and away from those miserable lines.
