Teacher TV’s Dealing With Disasters on The Learning Channel again looks at the serious subject of helping students and teachers cope with disasters that affect them (Sunday, 9:30 a.m.). Students who receive assistance can get back to learning again, the show asserts. For the family.

This detective has problems. She can’t get a search warrant. She can’t stay out past 11 on weeknights. These are some of the challenges facing 16-year-old crime investigator Shelby Woo in Nickelodeon’s The Mystery Files of Shelby Woo, which premieres Sunday at 6 p.m. Shelby does her crime solving between her homework, chores and working as a clerk after school at the Cocoa Beach Police Department. Kids at home can also get involved in her adventurers by trying to solve the mystery before the solution is revealed on the air. For ages 13 and up.

Two-time Olympic gold medal winner Katarina Witt skates and acts in Ice Princess (Sunday, 7 p.m.), an HBO presentation based on the classic fairy tale “Cinderella.” The show is a fusion of skating, drama and music and features such artists as Christopher Cross, Stomp and skating champions Rosalynn Sumners and Toller Cranston. In this version, Ella (Witt) lives in the forest with the gentle “charcoal burners.” Along comes the prince who must marry within a week and the troubles begin. For the entire family.
