MAN OF STEEL RIMS
Many thanks for the entertaining article on glasses in film history (“It’s Easy to See Through This Prop,” by Steven Smith, Dec. 17), but it’s hard to believe you missed one of the most important examples ever used. Consider a certain fellow whose entire demeanor changed when he removed his glasses, and where said removal always made a significant point. We refer, of course, to Clark Kent.
