Diamond Bar’s Lathian Tyler rushed for 124 yards and four touchdowns in only eight first-half carries as the Brahmas routed Montebello in their Division III game, 46-0. . . . After missing five games because of a knee injury, Nogales’ Demetrius Stampley returned to rush for 138 yards and a touchdown in only eight carries to lead the Nobles to a 21-0 upset at Santa Barbara in Division III. . . . Sierra Vista’s Oscar Interiano rushed for 260 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Dons to a 27-6 victory over Bellflower in Division VIII. . . . Senior Annie Ebiner of Glendora St. Lucy’s Priory won her second Southern Section cross-country title in three years with a time of 17 minutes 25 seconds in the Southern Section Division II race. Nancy Zhang of Rowland ran 18:27 and finished fifth in the Division I race. . . . Wilson middle blockers Tracy Chambers and Mindy Lucht had 19 kills each, but the Wildcats lost to Rim of the World in the Southern Section Division III girls’ volleyball semifinals, 15-12, 8-15, 15-13, 11-15, 15-7, to finish the season 17-2. . . . Bonita football Coach Dan Harden resigned last week after the Bearcats had finished with a 1-9 record. After losing 22 consecutive games before Harden took over, Bonita was 8-22 in his three seasons as coach. . . . The South El Monte football team raised more than $1,200 for the family of senior quarterback Cesar Vasquez, who was killed in a domestic argument last Wednesday.
