THOUSAND OAKS : 2 Meetings Planned on Multiplex Project
City officials have planned two community meetings to allow residents an opportunity to learn about a proposal to build a multiplex theater next to the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza.
Residents curious about the proposed Kilroy project--11 acres of shops, restaurants and movie theaters just east of the Civic Arts Plaza--are invited to the City Hall board room at 6 p.m. Thursday.
A second forum is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. in City Council chambers on Nov. 14.
Council members last month agreed to enter into exclusive negotiations with the El Segundo-based developers to build an upscale center on city-owned land next to the showcase performing arts center and City Hall.
City officials have until late December to reach an agreement on whether to build the center, which also could include a hotel at the corner of the property.
