ON THE FRITZ: NBC 4’s funniest weatherman, Fritz Coleman, poked fun at life in these parts at a San Fernando Valley Bar Assn. installation dinner Thursday night. Coleman noted the absurdity of daily weather reports in a place with “absolutely no weather . . . God doesn’t think we can deal with it emotionally.” Sample forecast: “Drizzle warning in the San Fernando Valley. . . . Don’t leave home in suede or silk!”
I’M LISTENING: The law’s no laughing matter to “Frasier” star Kelsey Grammer. No surprise, then, that he didn’t yuck it up during his speech at the Bar Assn. dinner. . . . “I’m a convicted felon talking to a roomful of lawyers,” mused the Agoura Hills resident. He was referring to a conviction on cocaine-related charges. Last May, a grand jury refused to charge Grammer with having sex with a 15-year-old.
HABIT-FORMING: City Councilman Marvin Braude prides himself on staying put. . . . Forty years with the same woman. Forty years in the same house. Thirty years on the council. So there was no doubt he’d run again. Braude announced his candidacy Friday. . . . Possible opponents? Former aide Cindy Miscikowski, prosecutor Lea Purwin D’Agostino and ex-mayoral aide Georgia Mercer.
