The Clippers, coming off a 46-point exhibition victory over the Sacramento Kings on Sunday at the Sports Arena, open a two-game trip tonight at Louisville, Ky., against the Dallas Mavericks.
The Clippers, who lost to the Orlando Magic by five points last Friday night at Anaheim, then will play at Orlando on Saturday night.
Centers Stanley Roberts and Constantin Popa didn’t accompany the team. Roberts, who hasn’t played a regular-season game in nearly two years because of Achilles’ tendon injuries, is still trying to get into condition after reporting to camp overweight and out of shape. Popa, the Clippers’ second-round draft pick, has been sidelined by a back injury.
Center Brian Williams and guard Terry Dehere, sidelined for the Clippers’ first two exhibition games because of knee and ankle injuries, practiced Monday night and may play tonight. Swingman Eric Piatkowski, who missed Sunday’s game because of an Achilles’ tendon injury, also may play.
