Mike Hinton resigned for personal reasons last Friday as Fountain Valley girls’ volleyball coach, according to Principal Gary Ernst.

Lori Biller, who last season led the boys’ team to its first Sunset League championship since 1984 in her first year as coach, took over as girls’ coach.

“We were just lucky that she was on board,” Ernst said.

Hinton, in his fourth year as girls’ coach, led the Barons to the Southern Section Division II final in 1993.
