Two Are Arrested in Hit-and-Run Looting
Associated Press
INDIANAPOLIS — Two people have been arrested in a fatal hit-and-run crash in which a woman lay dying as looters rummaged through her car.
Willie Wright, 43, was arrested Thursday for allegedly taking a purse from the wrecked car, and on Tuesday, Frank A. Pace, 25, was charged with failure to stop after an accident resulting in injury or death.
Police say Pace ran a stop sign with his truck last Saturday and collided with the car driven by Avanetta Hessaraki, 35, who died.
