Bullock’s to Reopen Store at Quake Site: The new outlet will open today at Northridge Fashion Center, where a Bullock’s was destroyed in the January, 1994, Northridge earthquake. A grand-opening ceremony will be held, and R.H. Macy & Co., which operates Bullock’s, is providing floats from its Thanksgiving Day Parade. Meanwhile, Cincinnati-based Federated Department Stores Inc., which acquired Macy’s in December, reported a second-quarter loss of $66.9 million. The loss stems from a pretax charge of $89 million for integrating Macy’s and the consolidation of two other divisions into one unit.
