Cup of Kindness for Coffee Cart Pair?
Thank God Americans still have the guts to speak out against big-business tactics and mind-crushing maneuvers. (“They’re Fighting Order for a Coffee Cart to Go,” May 11.)
I am heartened by Kelly and Alan Jeffrey’s spirit to expose the Marriott and UCI Medical Center. The Jeffreys have obviously worked long, hard hours and made a capital investment into their little family endeavor. They have shunned welfare. The are propelling the Horatio Alger stories.
UCI spokeswoman Carolyn Cohen Carter states that “Jeffrey is not being forced out of business either by Marriott Corp. or UCI Medical Center.” Then who the heck is forcing them out?
J. Wm. Marriott Jr. will not miss the Jeffreys’ profits and the “officials that be” at UCI should back their purchasing director’s lease extension promise. In fact, UCI and Marriott should see that the American Dream survives and give these two entrepreneurs a long lease.
