PLAYA DEL REY : Stabbed Man’s Body Discovered on Beach
County work crews last week found the body of an unidentified stabbing victim on the sand at Dockweiler State Beach, police said.
The beach cleanup crew discovered the man near the waterline at 6:20 a.m. Thursday, said Los Angeles police Lt. Al Michelena. The victim had sustained multiple stab wounds in the upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene by county lifeguards. It did not appear that he had washed onshore, Michelena said.
Detectives have not identified the man, described as Latino, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and 30 to 35 years old. Michelena said there was no indication that robbery was the motive for the killing because the man was still wearing a gold wedding ring.
