THE O.J. SIMPSON MURDER TRIAL : Throngs Force Limits on Parking at Murder Scene
The continuing parade of sightseers attracted to Nicole Brown Simpson’s Brentwood condominium has caused the Los Angeles City Council to confront the neighborhood’s resulting parking problems.
Earlier this week, the City Council voted to expand a Westside permit parking district to include the neighborhood around 875 S. Bundy Drive, where Simpson and Ronald Lyle Goldman were murdered last June. Parking in the area will be restricted to residents or others who obtain a special permit.
Councilman Marvin Braude, who represents the area and introduced the motion, said, “My office has been deluged with calls complaining about gawkers taking up their parking spaces. People are even coming from Germany and Spain to take pictures.”
