GLENDALE : Haircut Fest Will Help Fight AIDS
AIDS activists in Glendale are asking people who want to help curb the spread of the deadly disease to get a haircut.
Glendale Leaders for AIDS Awareness, a nonprofit group, will sponsor a “haircut-a-thon” from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, with proceeds going to AIDS education programs and charities.
The fund raiser at 1230 N. Pacific Ave. will also offer manicures, pedicures and skin-care services. All services will be administered by professionals, and there will be music and children’s entertainment throughout the day, organizers said.
