P.J. Goossen to Fight Lopez for State Middleweight Title
WOODLAND HILLS — P.J. Goossen (13-0, 11 knockouts) of Palmdale faces state middleweight champion Kenny Lopez (20-13, six KOs) of San Jose in the 12-round main event Wednesday night at the Warner Center Marriott.
State super middleweight champion Randy (Big Man) Smith (14-2, five KOs) of Azusa makes his first title defense against Irish Pat Lawlor of San Francisco.
Simi Valley’s Jimmy Mullen will meet Larry Givens of Los Angeles in a four-round heavyweight bout and Danny Lujan of Salinas faces Joel Garcia of Tijuana.
There will be a four-round women’s 118-pound bout between Bridgett Riley of Tarzana, a former kick-boxing champion, and Robyn Lopez of Phoenix.
The card starts at 7:30.
