PRO FOOTBALL DAILY REPORT : RAIDERS : Hostetler OK to Play Monday
An MRI on Jeff Hostetler showed nothing that would keep the Raider quarterback sidelined.
Hostetler experienced blurred vision, flashing lights and a migraine headache after being hit in the head late in the first half of last Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He was excused from Monday’s practice to undergo precautionary testing and Tuesday was the team’s day off. He is expected back today.
Hostetler will have an extra day to recover because the Raiders don’t play until Monday night, against the Chargers in San Diego.

For weeks now, Coach Art Shell has been agonizing over penalties.
The Raiders, who were guilty of a league-high 148 penalties last season, had been called for 109, also a league high, going into Sunday’s game.
Against the Steelers, the Raiders committed only three penalties for a total of 10 yards, yet lost, 21-3.
Said Shell: “I’ll take the penalties, along with the win.”
