Grenade Kills 2 at Sunni Mosque in Pakistani City
LAHORE, Pakistan — Masked motorcyclists hurled a grenade into a Sunni Muslim mosque in the Pakistani city of Lahore on Saturday, killing two worshipers and wounding 20, police and hospital sources said.
The violence followed a bus attack Friday in which seven Shiite Muslims were killed and 14 wounded near Jhelum in Punjab province. No group has claimed responsibility, but Shiites have blamed the militant Sunni Sipah-i-Sahaba for the night ambush.
In a separate attack Saturday, gunmen ambushed a bus at Farooqabad, killing one Shiite Muslim and wounding several others, police said.
