Police Called Over BB Gun Shots
WINNETKA — Police said an unidentified man was seen shooting a gun that was later determined to be a BB gun from the roof of a storage warehouse across the street from the Winnetka Drive-In on Saturday.
Several police cars and a police helicopter responded to the “sniper call” at about 5 p.m. on Winnetka and Praire avenues. Police closed off both streets for about half an hour, said Sgt. Mike Sonntag of the LAPD’s Devonshire Division.
A person on a car phone called police to report seeing a man with brown hair shooting a gun from the warehouse roof, Sonntag said. Police searched the area and found a BB gun cartridge. He added that no arrests were made and no one was injured.
