As expected, the Orange County Philharmonic Society has retired an accumulated deficit of $36,209, having ended the 1993-94 fiscal year with a surplus of $154,417. The organization’s annual budget is $2 million.

Subscription tickets go on sale Aug. 8 for the Orange County Performing Arts Center’s 1994-95 jazz series. Latin percussionist Tito Puente & his Latin Jazz All-Stars with the Poncho Sanchez Band launch the series on Oct. 14; trumpeter Roy Hargrove & His Quintet with vocalist Dianne Reeves follow on Nov. 11.
