BEHIND THE SCENES : A Night of Cool Cats and Jazz Scats

The weather was hot and so were the blues at the “Hot Blues On a Cool Summer Night” event to benefit the Orange County Performing Arts Center last Thursday. Held at South Coast Plaza Village in Santa Ana, the benefit was organized by the Center 500, a support group of the performing arts center. So what did the 500 guests wear? Breezy attire, of course, to sway easily to the warm sounds of jazz singer Charlie Jene, backed by the Champion Allstars.
