Bankruptcy Filings Dip: The number of filings nationwide for the second quarter of fiscal 1994 fell slightly to 206,565 from the previous quarter, hitting their lowest level since September, 1990, the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts reported. Filings for the period ended March 31 were more than 16,000 below those for the period a year ago. Non-business filings--those typically filed by consumers--totaled 192,707, up 90 from the previous quarter. Business filings totaled 13,858, or 95 below the first-quarter number. The federal court for the Central District of California reported the greatest number of filings at 21,511.
