After busting a suspected drug-dealing operation, Ventura County narcotics detectives said Friday they have arrested two Oxnard men and a Los Angeles County man on charges they were supplying methamphetamine to Thousand Oaks residents.

Detectives learned that Albert Martinez, 23, of Oxnard allegedly had been delivering the illegal stimulant to drug users in the Thousand Oaks area, according to a report by Sgt. Gary Pentis.

During a monthlong undercover investigation, detectives bought some of the drug from Martinez and then began watching his activities, Pentis’ report said. After obtaining a search warrant for his home and vehicle, they ordered a larger quantity of methamphetamine.

On Thursday afternoon, Martinez sent Albert Reyes, 18, of Oxnard and Agustin Valdonado, 22, of La Puente to deliver the drug to the undercover detectives, who arrested them, Pentis reported. Detectives then arrested Martinez at home, the report said.

During the investigation, detectives seized about 6 ounces of methamphetamine, worth about $15,000 on the street, it said.

All three men were arrested on suspicion of selling and conspiring to sell methamphetamine, and were booked into Ventura County Jail. Each was being held in jail Friday evening in lieu of $20,000 each.
