Woman’s Body Found Inside Burned Vehicle
LAKE HUGHES — The badly burned body of a woman was found Saturday inside a burned vehicle in the Lake Hughes area, a Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy said.
“We don’t know who she is,” said Lt. Ron Shreves of the Antelope Valley Sheriff’s Station.
The body was found at 10:45 a.m. in the 43000 block of Lake Hughes Road, said Deputy Patrick Hauser.
Police would not comment on the cause of the fire. Hauser said homicide detectives and arson/explosive technicians are investigating the case.
“It is a very rural area,” Hauser said. “There isn’t much out there but a realty office.”
