Tri-Lite Inc.: The Irvine company, which designs, makes and markets lighting fixtures, announced a first-quarter profit of $141,000, equal to 4 cents per share, on revenue of $4.28 million. This compares with net income of $161,000 on revenue of $2.4 million for the first quarter of 1993.
Alvin Katz, president of Tri-Lite, also announced the acquisition earlier this year of SPL, a New York-based manufacturer and marketer of self-powered lighting products. SPL’s products include light-emitting diodes, emergency exit signs and low-energy and self-luminous instructional signs; its customers include domestic airlines, engineers and architects.
