Here’s a King Who Doesn’t Polish His Own Crown

What a joy and privilege to share the moment with “The Great One” after his record-breaking 802nd goal.

To those of us subjected to awards ceremonies weekly, who read and hear professionals tout their greatness daily, it is indeed refreshing to see one who is so willing to share. Once again we are reminded that the truly Great Ones don’t need to remind everyone that “now I am the greatest,” a la Rickey Henderson. Indeed, Gretzky was quite willing to share and thank all. He is, indeed, without equal, and a first class person.
