FILLMORE : Authorities Seize 2 in Anti-Gang Raids
Ventura County authorities raided six homes and arrested two Fillmore men early Wednesday morning as part of an ongoing program to stem gang violence, police said.
A team of 46 officers from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department, the county Probation Department and the Fillmore Fire Department arrived after 1 a.m. at the homes of six individuals who agreed to such searches as part of their probation.
The team turned up no guns or drugs, but discovered gang graffiti and gang paraphernalia at two homes. Serafin Garibay, 19, and an unidentified 17-year-old youth were arrested and cited for probation violations, police said. They were both released after meeting with their probation officers.
