Coal Miners Strike: About 20,000 Australian coal miners have begun an indefinite strike at 130 mines in two states to protest cuts in the prices and volume of coal sold to Japanese steel mills, national radio reported. The strike is the second walkout since the industry accepted an average 8.4% cut in coal prices and reduced shipments to Japan for the fiscal year beginning April 1.
