* Louis J. Basenese has been appointed president and chief executive of Meguiar’s Inc., an Irvine manufacturer of car-care products. He was formerly director of Zerex, a division of BASF Corp. in New Jersey. Before that, Basenese spent nine years with Ford Motorcraft as a sales manager of various product lines.
